Quantum Computing Breakthrough: European Innovation Leading the Way

A new benchmark for sustainable membrane research

IonPap partners have completed a coordinated review of early membrane prototypes, combining materials characterization, electrochemical testing and industrial feedback. The results establish a clear roadmap for PFAS-free ion-conductive paper membranes in energy storage and fuel cell applications.

Early prototype validation gives IonPap a stronger technical baseline for selecting PFAS-free membrane routes that can scale beyond the laboratory.

What comes next

The consortium will now expand validation across redox-flow battery and fuel cell environments, focusing on durability, conductivity and scalability. Additional dissemination material will be released as the project reaches its next technical milestones.
